Yuyuan (Yu Yu) Zheng, LCSW is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from New York University with an emphasis in mental health and medical social work. She has served as the Director of Healthier Integrated Care Services at Excelsior Integrated Medical Group, one of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in New York.
As the founder of Healthier Integrated Care Services, Yu Yu has established two separate divisions, Healthier Care Management and Excelsior Mental Health Care, aiming to promote medical and mental health care delivery, and to support better community health outcomes. She supervises a team of medical care managers to provide case management and care coordination for patients struggling with various chronic medical conditions. In addition, Yu Yu supports behavioral health integration in a primary care setting. The Excelsior Mental Health Care clinic not only provides direct individual, family and group treatments in a specialty setting, but delivers mental health care effectively in a primary care setting for those people who are under the impact of mental health stigma. As a bicultural and bilingual professional, Yu Yu has always been fighting to serve the Asian American community. She began her career working at Charles B. Wang Community Health Center as a medical social worker in 2013, providing case management, care coordination and counseling services in pediatric, internal medicine and OB/GYN units. Following from 2017-2021, Yu Yu adopted a new role, working as an oncology social worker at the NYU Langone Cancer Center to support Chinese speaking patients struggling with terminal illness.
